Job Description:

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of its production facility. This hands-on role is ideal for a maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and working across a variety of building systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on facility equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Inspect and maintain utility systems to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
  • Support the maintenance of mechanical systems, compressed air equipment, cooling systems, wastewater infrastructure, and related utilities.
  • Perform basic electrical repairs, including lighting and other facility-related electrical components.
  • Complete minor plumbing repairs and install or replace common building fixtures.
  • Carry out general facility maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and other handyman work.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in safe working condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in facilities, industrial, building, or general maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience maintaining industrial utility systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and aerial lifts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work at heights as required.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
