Job Description:

Our client, an AI-driven enterprise B2B startup, is seeking a Founding Technical Recruiter.

This is a high-impact, foundational hire responsible for owning and building the talent function from the ground up. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on — someone who can attract and close exceptional technical talent while helping shape a high-performing, positive employee experience.

You will act as a true partner to leadership: selling the company's vision to top engineers while building scalable recruiting systems that support long-term growth and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruiting

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for technical roles, from intake and role calibration through offer close and onboarding handoff
  • Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to define role scope, interview design, and evaluation criteria

Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Building

  • Proactively source high-caliber passive candidates across LinkedIn, GitHub, and technical communities
  • Build and nurture long-term pipelines to reduce time-to-fill for critical engineering hires

Employer Branding & Talent Messaging

  • Craft compelling job descriptions and messaging that clearly communicate the company's mission and technical vision
  • Position the company effectively against other high-growth AI startups

Process & Candidate Experience

  • Run structured, high-signal interview processes
  • Serve as the primary candidate point of contact throughout the lifecycle
  • Ensure a seamless, thoughtful, and high-touch experience

What Were Looking For

  • 4–8 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience

  • At least one tenure at an early-stage startup (ideally Seed–Series B)
  • Experience recruiting for high-engineering-bar B2B SaaS companies
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing strong engineers, including senior and staff-level talent
  • Strong technical fluency — able to engage deeply with engineers and quickly differentiate good from great
  • Ability to manage 3–6 searches simultaneously while maintaining quality and pace
  • High agency and willingness to go above and beyond to secure top talent
  • Focus on long-term retention and culture fit, not just offer acceptance

This is an opportunity for a recruiting leader who wants true ownership — building the foundation of talent at a fast-scaling AI company and directly shaping its future.
